As women we have been given the capacity to love and nurture and feel the pain and struggles of those around us, as we ourselves continue to face the drought conditions our hearts go out to the women on the land, who everyday are facing a different life to ours with difficult conditions we can’t really comprehend. With these thoughts and the desire to reach out and connect with those women, by encouraging and supporting them - Beyond the Harvest was birthed.
“Connecting rural women, through friendship, to find hope, strength and peace in the God of our ever-changing seasons.” is the mission statement for this vision and as city women we would ask that we all gather together to reach out to those on the land, who for many years have supplied all our basic needs and it is now time for us to assist them in their time of need.
Beyond the Harvest will be launched on Thursday 9th August, when we can gather women into the city to allow them a time of rest, relaxation, fun, laughter and most importantly a time to share and connect and develop new relationships, which in turn will offer them support, encouragement and a listening ear.
