What is it?
Serious Fun is an exciting program designed to connect with women in our community. It evolved to meet a need that was shown through the Girls’ Getaway and Shine programs. Serious Fun give mums a similar experience of being touched by God’s love and being encouraged by members of City Women.
Aim:
Our aim is to have “Serious Fun” with these women - to spoil them and give them a great time. The program was launched in Family Week October 2006. Working closely with Girls’ Getaway and Shine - mums and their daughters are 
treated to dinner and entertainment at one of Toowoomba’s main restaurants. Friendships formed at these evenings lead to futher ‘fun’ activities with mums at our regular Serious Fun meetings. Opportunities for the ’serious’ side are added as the relationships are built.
We are in need of City Women to connect with these ladies - to support, encourage and love them beyond our regular events.

WEEKEND GETAWAY
What is it?
An opportunity for mums to have a weekend away with love, laughter and learning.
Aim:
Weekend Getaways, held at Lake Perseverance, are designed to meet the needs of women who can do with some time out. They experience love, guidance and encouragement from members of City Women. Apart from a lot of fun activities, there is input regarding mothering, budgeting, nutrition, health issues etc.
Who can go?
These weekends are for mothers from the community and also for those in our churches who would benefit from such a weekend.
How can you help?
- Prayer
- Provide money to help with costs and purchasing gifts
- Let us know of women who would benefit from an invitation
