Tuesday Young Mum’s Group is a group for young and expectant mothers aged 13 to 25.
HOW DOES IT IMPACT THE GIRLS AND WOMEN?
Firstly, it increases young mums’ feeling of self worth and self value, thus enhancing their ability to parent positively. Secondly, it connects young mothers to one another, giving them a sense of community.
Most importantly it is an opportunity to share and show the love of Jese to the young mums attending, taking the gospel to the community.
The vision for Young Mums Group is to have a house and resources specific for young women and their needs/issues.
ISSUES INCLUDING:
Unplanned pregnancy where women can be encourages and supported to keep their baby. Bereavement support groups for mothers who have misscarried or had a baby/young child pass.
Counseling and support group for women with post abortion depression. Support for victims of abuse. And to have safe accomodation for women who are homeless or living in unsafe circumstatnces.
To provide mentoring relationships to young women where they can be supported and encouraged.

Every Tuesday 10:30am to 12:00 noon at Thommy’s in Thomas Street.
WHAT IS THE VISION FOR THE FUTURE?

HOW YOU CAN HELP…
* By being committed to praying for Tuesday Young Mum’s Group
* Donating quality baby goods, maternity wear and books.
* Teaching a skill to the girls e.g. cooking.
* Blessing the girls with a skill you have e.g. hairdressing, photography, etc.
* Maybe you have a rental you could make available to young women at risk of homelessness or in need of a positive home environment.
